Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using Matcher.Work (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Matcher.Work.

2. Service Description

Matcher.Work provides:

  • AI-powered job matching that compares job postings against your CV and Ideal Job Profile.
  • Automated generation of tailored CVs and cover letters for specific roles.
  • A Chrome Extension for analyzing job postings on LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Lever, and other job boards.
  • A web dashboard for managing your job pipeline, documents, and token balance.

3. User Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or fraudulent activity, without prior notice.

4. Token System

Matcher.Work uses a token-based credit system for AI operations:

  • Starter: $10 for 100 tokens (~30 job analyses or ~5 CV generations).
  • Pro: $20 for 300 tokens (~100 job analyses or ~15 CV generations).
  • Advance: $50 for 1,000 tokens (~330 job analyses or ~50 CV generations).

Token policies:

  • Tokens never expire once purchased.
  • Token purchases are non-refundable, except in cases of technical failure attributable solely to Matcher.Work preventing token delivery.
  • Tokens are non-transferable between accounts.
  • Pricing is subject to change with 30 days' prior notice. Changes do not affect tokens already purchased.
  • New users receive 5 free analyses on signup — no credit card required.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to interact with the Service or consume tokens artificially.
  • Share your account with other users or allow third parties to use your tokens.
  • Abuse the job analysis cache system to circumvent token consumption.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the extension or platform.
  • Use the Service to generate fraudulent or misleading application materials.
  • Violate the Terms of Service of third-party platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, etc.) when using our extension on their sites.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations.

6. Content & Intellectual Property

  • Your data: you retain full ownership of your CV, IJP, and any personal data you upload to the Service.
  • Generated documents: CVs and cover letters generated by the Service may be used freely by you for personal job applications.
  • Our platform: Matcher.Work, including its algorithms, UI, branding, and underlying technology, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.
  • You may not resell, sublicense, or commercialize the Service or its outputs.

7. Service Availability

  • We provide the Service on a best-effort basis and do not guarantee 100% uptime.
  • We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that temporarily interrupts the Service.
  • Features marked as "Beta" or "Experimental" may change, be removed, or behave unexpectedly.
  • We are not liable for disruptions caused by third-party services (Firebase, Google APIs, Stripe).

8. Limitation of Liability

  • Matcher.Work does not guarantee that using our Service will result in job interviews or offers.
  • We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party job postings analyzed through the extension.
  • AI-generated CVs and cover letters should be reviewed and personalized before use.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • We exclude all liability for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Matcher.Work and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Argentina, without regard to conflict of law principles.
  • Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
  • If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the Argentine Chamber of Commerce.
  • Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice in the extension or dashboard. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
